The VLA Alliance is a collaborative venture between VolkerRail, Laing O’Rourke and AtkinsRéalis, who are continuing to work together in order to bid for the Midland Rail Hub project. The three parent companies have over a decade long relationship, originally working together on the Stafford Area Improvement Programme (SAIP) the first ‘pure construction alliance’ in the UK rail industry, and more recently as the East West Rail Alliance. We are further developing and growing our Alliance by engaging with strategic partners including Tony Gee & Partners and Copper Consulting.
