The Big Rail Diversity Challenge
Campaign for Better Transport is the national charity working across England and Wales to make transport better, greener and fairer. We have been campaigning since 1973 to improve transport, tackle climate change and create a more inclusive society. Our vision is for all communities to have access to high quality, sustainable transport that meets their needs, improves quality of life and helps protect the environment.
We are passionate about rail. Not only is it a great way to travel, but it is essential to reducing road traffic and air pollution and tackling climate change. It supports the economy and has the potential to help everyone access the things that are important to them. So, we want rail to thrive. And in order to thrive, the rail sector needs to tap into a broad talent pool, attract a diverse workforce, and support all of its team members to flourish and succeed. By fostering diversity, The Big Rail Diversity Challenge and Women in Rail can help create a rail industry that is better for its workers, for its passengers, for the country and for the environment.
